ConnectCoach

Terms and Conditions

Last updated 26 October 2026 Version 2026-10-11

Our lawyer is still reviewing this page. It describes how ConnectCoach works today, and it already applies. If anything changes after the review, we will update the date above and tell you about any change that matters. Questions to admin@connectcoach.app.

These are the rules for using ConnectCoach, written to be read. The short version: be honest, turn up, treat people well, and use the app for what it is for.

1.About these Terms

ConnectCoach is a product of ConnectPH IT Solutions, the trade name of a sole proprietorship registered in the Philippines (“ConnectPH IT Solutions”, “we”, “us”). These Terms are an agreement between you and ConnectPH IT Solutions. They cover the ConnectCoach app, the customer website at customer.connectcoach.app and this website (together, the “service”).

By creating an account, or by using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with your information. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2.What ConnectCoach is

ConnectCoach is a marketplace. It helps students find sports coaches near them, ask for a session, and talk to the coach about it. Coaches use it to show their sports, rates, courts and hours, and to take bookings.

Coaches are independent. They are not our employees or agents, and we do not provide coaching ourselves. When a coach accepts a booking, the agreement for that session is between the coach and the student. We are not a party to it, except for the parts of these Terms that apply to bookings made through the service.

3.Your account

  • You must be at least 18 to create an account. A parent or guardian may book sessions for a child under 18 from their own account, and is responsible for the child during the session.
  • Give your real name and keep your details up to date. One account per person.
  • Keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account, and should tell us at once at info@connectcoach.app if you think someone else has used it.
  • You choose to be a student or a coach when you sign up. That choice cannot be changed later on the same account.

4.If you coach

  • Your profile must be true: your name, photos, sports, levels, rates, courts and credentials. Only list a certification you actually hold.
  • You may ask to be verified. We check a photo of your government ID and a selfie with it, and you must be at least 18. A Verified badge means we have checked your identity. It is not a guarantee of your skill, conduct or qualifications.
  • If you add a PHPA certificate, the Philippine Pickleball Academy (PHPA) checks it with us, as the app explains when you send it. The PHPA badge only shows while that check stands.
  • You run your own coaching business. You are responsible for your own taxes and registrations, for issuing any receipts the law requires, for booking and paying for courts, and for any permits or insurance you need.
  • Turn up for the sessions you accept, and run them safely. If you must cancel, you pick a reason, and the student sees it. Cancelling a confirmed session late, for reasons within your control, may count against you, and repeated late cancellations may pause your listing until our team reviews it.
  • Photos you upload must be yours to share. If a child can be recognised in a photo, you need their parent or guardian's permission first.

5.If you book sessions

  • Tell the coach the truth about your level, the people coming, and anything they should know to keep you safe.
  • Turn up on time, and follow the coach's instructions and the court's rules. If you add guests to a booking, you are responsible for them.
  • Cancel as early as you can if you cannot make it, through the app, so the hour can go to someone else.

6.Bookings

A booking starts as a request. It is only confirmed once the coach approves it in the app. Coaches have a set time to answer, shown in the app, and a request nobody answers in time lapses with nothing owed.

The date, time, place, price and any court fee are shown on the booking before it is confirmed. A coach may decline a request, and either side may cancel a booking through the app. When a coach cancels, the student sees the reason they picked.

Group and public sessions work the same way, with a limit on how many people can join and a time after which new people can no longer join.

7.Prices, payments and fees

Coaches set their own prices, in Philippine pesos. Students pay the price the coach shows, plus any court fee the booking lists. We do not add a fee on top of what a student pays.

The app shows, for each booking, how the student pays. Where the app takes the payment, it goes through our payment partner, and refunds follow the cancellation rules the app shows on that booking. Where the student pays the coach directly, for example by the coach's QR code or in cash, that payment is between the two of them: we never hold it, and we cannot refund it, though we may help look into a problem reported through the app.

Coaches pay us a service fee for bookings made through the service. The rate, and how it is collected (from a payment taken in the app, or from the coach's wallet), is shown in the app before a coach accepts a booking. We may change our fees. A change never applies to a booking already accepted, and we will tell coaches before it takes effect.

8.The coach wallet

Where the app offers a wallet, these rules apply to it.

  • Your wallet holds what you top up ahead to pay our fees, peso for peso. It is not a bank or e-money account: it earns no interest, cannot be withdrawn, paid out or moved to another account, and can only be used for our fees.
  • The free Starter top-up expires 90 days after it is given. What you top up, and any bonus that comes with it, expires 12 months after your latest top-up, so topping up again keeps all of it. The app reminds you before it expires.
  • When you accept a booking, the fee for it is held from your wallet. It is taken after the session, and released if the booking is declined, lapses, or is cancelled by you or the student. The app shows the exact rules, including what happens when a student reports a problem.
  • What you have topped up and not used is not refundable, except when you close your account or where the law requires a refund. The free Starter top-up and bonuses are never refundable.

9.How everyone should behave

On ConnectCoach, in chat, and at sessions arranged through it, do not:

  • harass, threaten, discriminate against, or hurt anyone;
  • pretend to be someone else, or make an account for someone without their permission;
  • post anything false, misleading, sexual, hateful or illegal, or anything that is not yours to share;
  • use other people's details for anything except the booking they shared them for;
  • send spam, or advertise anything unrelated to your sessions;
  • copy or scrape the service, get around its security, or interfere with how it works;
  • leave a rating for a session that did not happen, or ask for ratings in exchange for something.

10.Ratings, reports and what you post

What you post stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it in the service, and use it to run and improve ConnectCoach, for as long as it is on the service. Ratings must be honest, and about a session you had.

Students can report a coach, and coaches a student, through the app. Our team reviews every report. We never tell the person reported who reported them, what was said, or that a report was made. We may remove anything that breaks these Terms.

11.Suspending and closing accounts

We may pause a listing, suspend an account, or close it, if it breaks these Terms, puts someone at risk, or if the law requires it. A suspended person cannot sign in, book, or chat. We tell them their account is suspended and until when, in the app and by email. We do not tell them who reported them or why.

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile, then Account. If you cannot sign in, email admin@connectcoach.app. A coach with open requests or upcoming sessions needs to settle them first. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep after an account is deleted, and why.

12.Sport and safety

Sport carries a risk of injury. Take part only if you are fit to, check with a doctor if you are unsure, and tell your coach about any condition that matters. Coaches and students are each responsible for their own safety and for those in their care during a session.

We check identities where a coach asks to be verified, and we act on reports, but we cannot check everything about everyone. Use your own judgement, meet at the courts the booking names, and report anything that worries you.

13.The service itself

We work to keep ConnectCoach running and accurate, but we provide it as it is and as available. We may change, add or remove features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. Some parts depend on others, such as maps, app stores, payment partners and email, and their own terms apply to how you use them.

The ConnectCoach name, logo, app and websites belong to us. You may use the service for its purpose, but you may not copy, sell or build on it without our written permission.

14.Our responsibility

As far as Philippine law allows:

  • We are not responsible for what coaches, students or guests do, for the quality of a session, or for injury, loss or damage at a session, unless it was caused by our own negligence.
  • We are not responsible for losses that are indirect, or that we could not reasonably have foreseen.
  • Where we are responsible, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, bad faith or gross negligence, or takes away rights you have under Philippine consumer law that cannot be waived. You agree to cover our reasonable losses if you break these Terms or the law while using the service.

15.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as ConnectCoach changes. The date at the top of this page says when they last changed. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you keep using the service after that, the new Terms apply; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.

16.Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines. If something goes wrong, please contact us first, and we will try to put it right. Any dispute we cannot settle together will go to the proper courts of the Philippines. This does not stop you from going to the Department of Trade and Industry or the National Privacy Commission.
